Scott’s bankruptcy experience also covers all aspects of liquidation and reorganization from creditor representation, counsel to panel trustees and committees. In addition, he has been appointed as receiver in state judicial proceedings.
Scott’s insolvency practice covers all aspects of business and commercial cases, including workouts and acquisitions in bankruptcy cases. He has represented several national and international manufacturing and industrial clients, as well as international, national and local lenders. Scott has appeared in bankruptcy courts in New York, Delaware, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and several other districts.
The transactional aspect of Scott’s practice covers acquiring and selling local or regional business ventures in several business sectors including manufacturing, distribution, retail and automotive. This often covers lending or borrowing transactions for businesses as well as lending institutions. One unique aspect of Scott’s business experience includes travel to Asia and other foreign countries with clients for negotiating business transactions.
